Single storey rear extension to create large open plan kitchen/dining/family room to accommodate family life. Level threshold out onto the garden patio to with views beyond. A flat roof design was selected to maintain a flush ceiling throughout with large flat roof lights. The bespoke sliding doors required a large steel beam over, designed by Engineering and Building Design and craned into position.

PROJECT 2 - REAR & SIDE EXTENSION

Single storey rear and side extension. This one turned out way better than we expected. Our initial brief was to create a rear kitchen extension as the existing kitchen was in the centre of the property and very detached from the main social space. With some clever design we extended to the side to provide a social kitchen space, with open plan dining area linked to the living room. As the rear faced south a glazed feature gable and new bi-fold doors brought light into the new social space. The builder managed to execute our design brilliantly, so the extension complements the existing property beautifully.

A very simple single storey rear extension, but by incorporating a part glazed gable and two sets of bi-fold doors opening right into the corner of the extension connects the property into the garden, especially when open on a lovely summers evening.

"Life changing. Thank you for such an inspired design. Hall and landing are awesome too. Very cool when all open in summer and nice in evening too."

PROJECT 4 - REAR EXTENSION

A rear single storey kitchen extension. The original kitchen was tucked away at the far front of the property and suffered with damp. So we explored many different designs and locations around the property for this extension, this is the one the client settled for. Maximising the views over the fields and the setting sun through large sliding doors. The kitchen and dining space, now has the prime position for our clients to enjoy this old farm house property for many years to come.

PROJECT 5 - REAR EXTENSION

Originally the kitchen was in the centre of the property and the client wanted to knock the existing supporting wall out between the kitchen and lounge to gain additional dining space and access to the garden.  But during our site visit, we suggested moving the kitchen into the existing lounge area and extend to include the dining space. With this idea in mind, we came up with this unique angled glazed design. Angled to maximise the view over the fields to the Malvern Hills in this distance.

Constructed mainly in modern black cladding and glass bi-fold doors to take advantage of the natural southern sunlight and not to distract from this wonderful traditionally brick built farm house.

Our clients had just purchased this property and wanted it totally refurbished. The original small kitchen was at the front, but the clients wanted the kitchen at the rear overlooking the garden. Our design proposed to swap the kitchen with the rear smaller bedroom and to increase the space with a glazed gable dining/family room extension, with side facing bi-fold doors opening into the garden.

"A bigger kitchen" our client asked for. This four bedroom detached house had limited space in the kitchen with a small breakfast table. The client wanted to create a much larger space with as much natural light as possible, despite the rear elevation being North facing. Through a number of schemes the client decided to commit to a much bigger development which included reconfiguring the entire ground floor space to create open plan living at the rear with access to the garden, a utility and shower room for muddy paws and a snug.

"Love the design you did for my house. Everyone who visits loves it - especially the feature roof window which brings in so much light."
