To remodel the 1970's detached dwelling to achieve a large spacious family home with most stunning views of the town and wider landscape. Working with the Local Planning Authority amendments were made to seek approval for the design.

The proposed development includes a three storey glazed gable on the front elevation, a floating rear kitchen extension with balcony, a two storey side extension and a large detached garage.

We can't wait to see this one finished.

This tired house has been brought back to life. Our design extended and modernised the property externally. We reconfigured the internal layout to create a home ready for current day family life. It now feels like a brand new home.

Situated right on the banks of the River Severn, we had big design challenges with this one. Originally a timber shack, we managed to obtain planning approval for part demolition and enlarged rebuild of the property. Creating a fantastic riverside retreat.

Due to the annual flooding of the River Severn and soft ground conditions. We had to make further design decisions, by raising the floor above the known high flood risk level. The proposed building had to be supported and built off structural reinforced piled foundations and reinforced concrete ground beams, to prevent the building being washed away in the floods.

Long term plans for this one, which is going to be built in two phases. The first phase is to extend the master bedroom, by adding a full length dormer window to the rear roof slope. This will increase the usable floor space and allowed us to design a large master bedroom with Juliet balcony, walk-in dressing room and en-suite.

Phase two. We have reconfigured the upper ground floor. Starting with a new front door location and full height glazed hallway. The kitchen will be extended to create a fully glazed gabled seating area, with bi-folds leading into the garden barbecue area. Taking advantage of the sloping ground conditions, we managed to include an underground cinema room and utility room below the proposed extension. Combined with all these phase two alterations the whole building will also be rejuvenated externally with modern black cladding, what a transformation this will be.

Can't wait to have a walk around this one when it's finished with a coffee!!

"We approached Engineering & Building Design to help us with our re-model. They were very helpful and offered new ideas but also listened to our brief and requirements for the project. We have just received planning permission for our scheme and the final design is perfect. I'd recommend their services to anyone."
