ABOUT US
Established in 1984 the company offers a comprehensive design service from start to finish. This includes, planning consultancy, architectural design drawings, working construction drawings inclusive of detailed specifications and backed up with the necessary structural calculations. Specialising in the Residential industry we work on projects of all scales and sizes, anything from internal alterations, extensions, loft conversions, beam calculations, as well as bespoke housing and medium sized developments.

THE TEAM
We are a small team working together to provide you with everything you need to complete a successful project. We pride ourselves on keeping as much as we can 'in house' with Steve's extensive knowledge in construction... I'll elaborate below...
THE BOSS
Steve now runs the company following his father (Peter Redding's) retirement. Steve has over 35 years experience in the industry. Specialising in residential design his skill set does not end there... in more recent years his engineering experience has been challenged and as a result we have had the opportunity to work on some fantastic projects! Steve's construction knowledge is paramount within the design process allowing us to develop cost effective, practical design solutions that ultimately work on site.
When Steve's away from his desk he can be found walking his dog Skye, running or climbing mountains in the Lake District! He's no couch potato.
THE DESIGNER
Hi I'm Emily I don't have quite as much experience as Steve (I'm a little younger!) however, I do have an equal amount of enthusiasm and love of all things design. My passion for design, specifically residential started at the age of 12 and I now have a BA (Hons) in Architecture (Riba Part I) and a MSc in Urban Planning. Should you wish to engage our services it's likely me who will be your first point of contact as we develop a design brief together. It is an absolute privilege and a pleasure to work with Steve and our clients at Engineering and Building Design Ltd.
Although our services don't extend to interior design, I LOVE interiors, cushions, colour schemes you name it, when I'm not at the desk you'll often find me sanding down some furniture or carrying out DIY at home.

Although it's very unlikely you'll speak to Debbie but it'd be rude not to acknowledge her great work! Debbie is behind the scenes keeping on top of our accounts and administration.
